Types of freelancing

After several months of trying to cope with uncertain internships and job applications, I’ve noticed myself recently drifting towards specialist digital freelancing…
The idea of freelancing yourself sounds like an incredible way to get paid any way you want, where to paid. how to paid and where to paid. Freelancing yourself sounds like a quick route to having a little bit of freedom from everyone else’s job, so it seems like a win-win… Many companies ask candidates in digital freelance for qualifications and some candidates are ask to submit writing samples, but the people I’ve told about it at the most recent jobs are for (digital) content management/…
This is one of the main things I’ve never looked for in a job description – writing samples or writing portfolios – though I have mentioned doing it…
If you’re asking these questions then you’re in luck – if a company asks for a portfolio, you could write a proposal that outlines your skills and the things you’ve written…
And if you’re hoping to pitch an article idea that will prove you’re worthy of a digital director’s attention, you might need to get a bit crafty./…

There are many different ways to spin off your portfolio. You could make your portfolio stand out by using a free website like www.freecastle.co.uk.
Add interactive visuals, stick in your email address so your writing could be share. make a link to the page, and your resume could look better than it would a copy-and-paste of resumes. Another way would be to apply for jobs at a press release site, send out to emails, add to your CV. on cool applications sites and show how you’re an exceptional candidate. Another way that could work would be a developer where, as a freelancer. you will also have to pitch an article idea to a digital team. If you don’t have a great understanding of digital storytelling. then going the place where it’s not a very ‘cool’ thing to do, I’m afraid, might be a better option.

But here’s the main thing: this won’t get your application noticed. Recruiters don’t want your hard copy, but they also don’t want mediocre writing samples. The problem with many of the ideas of freelancing yourself is that you have no real idea of what this could be like. Once you’ve landed a digital team member. it’s not good writing that shows a digital team member that you’re worth talking to – it’s something else. The digital team member could recommend you to others within the company. At this point, you could set up a 20–hour freelancing assignment for the first month of your role. and try and improve your skill set. every step of the way. , I could explain what freelancing yourself is by the contrast it is to taking an internship. You’re part of a company now and you’re better prepared to handle it. You’re handling your own workload – writing, proofreading, time management – even your own pay – for a company… For freelancing yourself, you’re reporting to someone else. In this case, they are your boss. You’re still a member of the team, but you’re not one of them.

If you’re unsure if you want to freelance yourself, don’t give up on it. And if you do it, then make sure it’s a project that will put you on the right path in life and help you to grow.
Even if it’s only for a month, at least you’re getting an understanding of how hard digital storytelling can be and how you could take your skill set a step further… But don’t get any job you can, especially not ones that are changing the face of digital storytelling as we know it right now…
